Dušan Mravlje
Drinking, drinking, drinking
In the extreme heat of the Death Valley one thing is crucial:
constantly drinking. To avoid dehydration under the Californian
sun, where it gets up to 55 degree Celsius, the runners consume
huge amounts of water and electrolytes. (For further information

Dušan
Mravlje calcutes that he will need at least one litre per ten
kilometres he is running. During the race every 2.5 kilometres
there will be an supplying station so that Dušan will grap
around 90 times for a drink.
It
would take him around 50 kilometres, according to Dusan’s
experiences, to get used to the extreme conditions. “After
that everything will work just fine.” He had only to watch out
to drink always “earlier than necessary” and never falling
behind with his drinking. “Otherwise the race will quickly be
over.”
Dušan
won’t eat anything during the race. Depending on how he feels,
he will start eating again the day after the race has finished.
